Well...I figured I'd join up since I am quite the 'deviant' ...art is a huge part of my life as it is many other peoples' and I'd like to submit and appreciate as much as possible!
As for me well, my name is Mike and I'm currently studying Anthropology at Concordia University in Quebec, Canada (yeah, the 'French' province haha). Things are well, but beyond that I am obsessed with music; I play guitar and sing, as well as draw and write both lyrics and poetry...maybe one day I'll work on short stories/novel - who knows!!! I'm generally a very reserved individual, but I have been breaking out of that shell slowly but surely. Oh yeah! I also have a weird obsession with film...I love movies and collect them about as much as I collect CDs and music...I've got collections in the whereabouts of 200+ CDs as well as DVDs/Blu Rays...and the collections are ever-growing. And last but definitely not least: comic books!!! I grew up with mostly Marvel and DC (currently preferring DC by a long-shot) so that's where my main interests lie as far as comix go (Batman being my fav of all time). Anything else you wanna know? ASK ME! :P

Going Out into the Field!

Yup! I'm about to embark on some serious field research into the inner workings and gender issues of the Heavy Metal community! It should be interesting as I'm doing this as an insider to the metal community (as a full-fledged metalhead) AND for a paper for Concordia University. Indeed, I hope to find some concrete info on gender issues such as the divide (if any) between men and women band-wise and fan-wise) as well as the attendance ratios as concerts...how people get into metal in the first place...what people define as 'sounding' and 'looking' metal...just basic stuff like that.
Just thought I'd put it out there and let people know that

It's funny you say that cuz I saw this profile on here yesterday, and there were pictures of vagina close-ups posted with captions explaining how no two vulva (I think I may be wrong with the word/spelling) are not alike and thus each vagina (like each woman) is beautiful in its own way. I totally agreed because I really think the human body - especially the female human body - truly is a work of art in and of itself!!!
